A performative photography piece.
My father appears in every picture and so does my boyfriend, but my father doesn’t know that he is there. In fact he’s never meet him and doesn’t know who he is and wouldn’t recognise him from any other person on the street. My boyfriend is nervous.
I become more and more anxious, as he steps further and further back in the frame and I find it hard to capture them both in good light.
A series of Polaroids, taken after my father told me that I would conform to marrying an Indian boy.
