DOCUMENTARY is a Performance Presentation. A very personal piece involving my parents.

Following on from In The Same Frame, which was a series of Polaroids, taken after my father told me that I would conform to marrying an Indian boy. They featured my father and my white boyfriend IN THE SAME FRAME at the same time with out my father realising, with out them ever meeting.

Documentary vocalises the opinions of my parents and takes another step and reveals much more. A different world, disclosing a culture, a way of thinking and a way of living. Confronting the real situation and provoking questions and wanting answers.

I’m here explaining to you, translation, explanation, now coming face to face with the real circumstances.
